Have heard good things about Gallery Pastry and finally decided to stop by. I made a bad choice to come at lunch time on a Sunday (haha). We didn't have a reservation so we did expect a long wait. The host/manager(?) kept updating us of when our table would be ready. There was a table that checked out but didn't leave for a long time so we ended up sitting at the bar area. It wasn't necessary, but we got a complimentary goodies for waiting long - the host obviously didn't expect the table to not clear out after checking out. We sat down and were warned that the food would take a long time - and it did take a long time. But overall, I would definitely come back - probably when it's not too busy. The 4 stars is for the great service we received from the front host/manager and server. We ordered the sticky black garlic wings, shrimp and grits, steak and egg, smash burger, and brunch carbonara. 1. Sticky Black Garlic Wings - it was good, but our's didn't come with the bok choy and ginger slaw (though the menu said it will), but we didn't care to bring it up since we were ready to just eat. 2. Shrimp and Grits - very yummy! 3. Steak and Egg - my sister said the steak was a little lukewarm, but it was not bad overall. 4. Smash Burger - was also lukewarm, but I thought the fries were good. 5. Brunch Carbonara - review pictures online showed spaghetti noodles, which my husband was expecting, but came with fettuccine noodles. Perhaps they rotate the noodles, but he didn't enjoy it as much as he would have loved to. We also had coffee from the front counter area while waiting to be seated. I had the latte that had the pear lavender and it was delicious! Will visit again soon to try other dishes!

Went for Mother's day on the Sat this year and this was my 3rd time going here!! This is personally one of my favorite brunch place as its got enough of savory and sweets - mainly sweets. This is a place to get mousse !! Might be the only place to get mousse. We ordered sweet crepe to share. I had savory crepe (vegan) - im not vegan but this is so delicious!! My husband ordered chicken and waffle (recommended) Staffs are all nice and friendly, its chilled too. When i called in to reserve a table , it was easy. The place is so chic, i love the many plants decor there - beautiful! 2nd time, i went w/ my friends to share a lot of the brunch menu! We sat outside. 1st time i went was still in 54th st location i believe but still left me a good memory! Love to see this grow!

Solid food and good ambiance. We got two appetizers. The Fried green tomatoes were served on grits with a savory sauce and were great. The Berries and burrata were a nice refreshing appetizer with fresh fruit and light burrata. The spicy chicken sandwich was fantastic. It wasn't spicy, but the sauce was flavorful and the portion size was great. The fries were tasty and crispy but very salty. The chocolate pillow is probably the most photographed pastry from Gallery. While it looks beautiful, it tasted like a light chocolate mousse and wasn't particularly special at the $10 price point. The service was slow but it was understandable because it was a busy afternoon. Overall another great brunch option in Indy and will be back.

This place was a great experience from the moment we walked into the door. As soon as you walk in, the pasty counter is right there so if you just want to grab a pastry and a coffee you can get in and out. We were here for Saturday brunch. This place gets busy so make sure you have reservations! We had reservations. The hostess apologized and let us know that our table wasn't available yet. We had no problem waiting. We ended up having to wait about ten minutes past our reservation time which was no big deal, but the hostess was extremely apologetic and told us she was comping us a dessert board. This is a great example of excellent customer service. We weren't put off by the wait at all, but she still made sure to show apologies for the wait and appreciation for our patience. The ambiance here is cute. A giant white tree is the centerpiece of the restaurant. There is a patio, but it wasn't open yet for the season. There is bar seating and a several table options with a variety of cute mismatching chairs at each. Our table was comfortable and our waitress was attentive without checking in too much. The food was very good! The menu was great so just narrowing it down to pick something was difficult! And, of course, that dessert board. The prettiest thing I've ever seen and the desserts are delicious! I highly recommend getting one to any who visit as this is something that sets this place apart from other restaurants. Desserts were so good I had to get one to go as well! I would definitely come back here! Now I'm looking forward to visiting their other two locations as well!

We came when the kitchen opened at 9am not knowing we should have placed a reservation. They were so nice and got us a table. By 10 the place was definitely getting packed--really appreciate that they could seat us. Super cute aesthetic; music wasn't too loud so you can have a conversation; table seating felt a little tight, but we have young kids so maybe it's just that we take up space with diaper bags and jackets. What we got: - plain croissant (a little breadier and less flaky than we prefer, but our carb-obsessed child liked it) - jlt crepe (pork jowl!) - a fruit crepe (very kid friendly!) - kids sammi (she gave a thumbs up) - croissant and gravy (hearty) - honey cardamom cinnamon oat latte (really nice if you want something a little sweet) - cappuccino (strong) Everything was tasty. Crepes were really well balanced in flavor. Nothing was over sweet or over salty. And anything with bacon jowl is a win.

First I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time, and had the opportunity as a birthday celebration with friends. I love that their College Avenue location has free parking right there, and an outside patio. Yay! The interior decor is also very open, welcoming, and almost like being in a garden. Nice casual and chill ambience and plenty of different types of seating from small tables to a big long gallery style family area. Our servers were great and helped choose items, understand menu ingredients and tell us fan favorites. The menu rotates so we had some great options that will disappear, so they advised us on that as well. The Brussel salad appetizer was indeed large enough to share between three of us and was crispy, sweet and tangy and just salty enough to not overwhelm the palate. Yum! I was craving curry so had the veggie curry. The server mentioned that I could get it with salmon as well which was one of her favorites, so I did that. The salmon was tender and flavorful and the curry had a lot of robust flavors. I was disappointed though (and a bit unsure) that it didn't come with any rice. I was not at all sure that this could be a curry as it was more of a soup with salmon on top. At my request the server brought me a small bowl of rice which was greatly appreciated. The tastes were great but I would choose something else next time as otherwise I had no way (apart from slurping) to eat the curry. My only other sad aspect as really the experience was delightful, was that in a shop where they make their own pastries and the pastas are locally made there were absolutely no gluten free options. I'm now being told I'm celiac so this is a big concern for me suddenly. I know it is extra effort but would love to see them at least offer Native Bread (local artisan gluten free bread) or something. But maybe someday! Our group loved it and mentioned that they would drive across town just for the smash burger! It is a definite good spot to try and the flavors were good, I'd just choose another option to try but would for sure go back.
